Vera holds a PhD in Health Sciences. She has in depth knowledge and practical experience in patient engagement in medical decision making, especially through patient preference analysis.  She is experienced in interviewing patients, conducting patient surveys, and collaborating with various actors in the health care sector. She joined admedicum in May 2022.

Experience

  • More than 8 years of professional experience in the health care sector
  • Experience in working with patients and their relatives and friends, patient organizations, physicians and nurses in clinical practice and research
  • Previous collaborations with HTA organizations, health insurances, pharmaceutical companies, and medtech companies
  • Familiar with planning, coordinating and/or analyzing qualitative and quantitative studies including e.g., clinical trials, cross-sectional studies patient surveys, and patient preference analyses
  • Detailed methodological knowledge and practical experience in completing HTA processes within the German health care system

Education

Vera completed her bachelor’s degree in European Public Health (B.Sc., 2012) and her master`s degree in Health Services Research (M.Sc., 2014) at the University Maastricht. Both her master’s thesis and her Ph.D. at the University of Cologne addressed various aspects of involving patients in medical decision-making. She investigated individual and population-related health decisions with a focus on patient preference analysis.
