Information on data protection and declaration of consent

The processing of your e-mail address is required in order to provide you with a summary of the online survey results and/or contact you for potential participation in future surveys. If you agree to be contacted in the future, we may ask you to provide the name you prefer to be addressed by, your age, gender, status (e.g. patient or caregiver/relative), country of residence, and language.

This information is considered personal data. We will only process your data if you have provided your expressed consent to do so in advance. As such, we request that you review and indicate your agreement to the following privacy policy before providing your personal data. The legal basis for the collection of data by admedicum results from Article 6.1 a) and 9.2 a) of the GDPR (i.e., your consent).

This data privacy information notice describes how we process your personal data for the above-mentioned purposes.

We guarantee compliance with the protection standards of the European GDPR, which is very strict and goes beyond all your rights under national and regional laws in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. If you reside in the UK, US, Canada or Australia, you may claim all your rights under local laws; however, we herewith agree to hold your data protection rights towards us also according to European GDPR. Contact for information or advertising purposes of any kind is excluded.

Your rights

You may revoke your consent to the storage of your e-mail address without providing a reason. You then have the right to request information regarding your stored data, as well as to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of your data. We will comply with your request immediately and inform you of the measures taken. For legal purposes, admedicum reserves the right to obtain data under certain legally regulated conditions (e.g., if the data is required as evidence in a legal dispute). We will then consult with you accordingly in order to comply with your request to the extent possible.

Who sees your data?

Only employees and representatives of admedicum and the online survey platform company, Momentive, will see your data collected to the extent it is useful and necessary for the fulfillment of their tasks. The data will be used only for this purpose. Your data will not be shared with our customer, Encoded Therapeutics.

Data Storage

The personal data you provide will be deleted from the online platform, Momentive, within 3 months following the completion of the research project.

Data will be extracted by admedicum and stored on a server separate from Momentive. Your name and e-mail address will be stored for the following period based on your consent:
â—Ź Only your email for 4 weeks, if you select exclusively for the voucher dispatch
â—Ź Only your email for 1 year, if you select (also) to receive the online survey results summary, but not to be contacted again by admedicum for potential participation in future surveys
â—Ź All of the data mentioned above for an indefinite period of time if you (also) selected to be contacted again by admedicum for potential participation in future surveys.
By storing your data on a cloud service certified with the highest European industry standard ISO27018, admedicum ensures that your electronically stored data is safe from loss, destruction, manipulation, or access by unauthorized persons.

Questions and complaints

If you have any questions regarding data protection, please contact our data protection officer indicated above. In addition, according to Article 77 of the GDPR, if you are in the European Union, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, usually the respective data protection authority of the local jurisdiction in which you reside.
