admedicum welcomes Dr. Tiziana Scanu to the team

We are very pleased to welcome Tiziana Scanu as Patient Engagement Manager.
admedicum

Tiziana has been a biomedical researcher for 15 years, including obtaining a Ph.D. in Life Sciences in 2008 on a rare genetic disorder (SEDT) and continued post-doc research on the role of bacterial infection in gallbladder cancer.  The pioneering findings of Tiziana and co-workers have obtained extensive coverage in scientific journals, mass media, and social networks.

Tiziana’s real passion is facilitating communication and collaboration among stakeholders to establish and execute healthcare projects and initiatives addressing everyone’s needs. From 2015 onwards she continued her career as a medical communication and medical writer expert and worked for industries, healthcare professionals, patient organizations, and most recently at the Medical and Health Information Service of the Stakeholder and Communication Division at the European Medicine Agency (EMA).

Since October 2022, Tiziana became a EUPATI fellow, and in her free time, Tiziana works as a volunteer for the Italian Accademia del Paziente Esperto EUPATI (ADPEE). She also volunteers as a helper and worker in poverty alleviation activities and assistance to people with disabilities in Italy, Africa, the Netherlands, and France.

Tiziana’s extensive experience with multi-stakeholder communication, combined with her EUPATI background will be highly valuable to further strengthen our patient engagement service offerings in Europe.

We are very much looking forward to working with Tiziana and further advancing our mission to make patient engagement “business as usual”.
